Budgetary Responsibility
Responsible for formulation of the President’s Budget and the execution of the Enacted Budget as it relates to the Department of Energy.

Purview
Manages the performance of the Office of Electricity, Grid Deployment Office, Office of State and Community Energy Programs, Advanced Research Projects Agency -Energy as well as the Department of Energy’s Human Capital and Information technology functions. These offices and functions total an annual budget of $1.3B, as well as $39B in Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funding.Provides detailed information and thoughtful policy recommendations to Senior Leadership, including the OMB Director.

Financial Oversight and Management
Responsible for editing and reviewing all external financial communications related to relevant program offices including, but not limited to: Executive Orders, Notices of Funding Opportunities, Press Releases, Fact Sheets and Notices of Financial Award. Responsible for overseeing the agency’s 17,000 Full Time Equivalents (FTE) and Contractor Staff. Strategically releases agency funding through apportionments throughout the fiscal year to ensure that the agency is spending their resources responsibly. Cultivates working relationships and develops deep subject matter knowledge with relevant program leadership throughout the agency.
